I returned from a shoot this weekend only to discover that several images were....missing.
the file numbers were still in sequence, so it wasn't as if i had accidentally deleted the images. they simply weren't there.
tonight, when mucking around before dinner, i was using the LCD screen to take some test shots, and none of those saved, either.
when i went to view them in playback, the images simply weren't there. if i used the viewfinder, changing nothing else, the pictures were saved to the disc.
any ideas?
OH! here's another quirk. if i used the lcd screen to line up the shot, then used the timer to take the shot...IT WORKED.
very, very confused.
any ideas? did i inadvertently change a setting? all of this is being done in manual mode.
thank you for your time and expertise.
BigZig.

I think the easiest thing to do is to go into the menu and reset the camera to factory settings.

Good morning, Ray.
Thank you for your quick, succinct reply.
I tried that, and it worked.
Today's lunch time challenge will be to relearn how to set up the wifi.
Well worth it, though, knowing that the original issue is resolved.
Cheers,
Gene
