hello community,
I need urgent help please. I recently invested in a used 1DX markii second hand and it is set to P mode. It’s my first time using this camera and I can’t find how to set it back to manual mode and auto ISO. I have tried everything I could think of and watched numerous videos on how to reset the camera but nothing is working.
I cannot highlight the P and there is no dial showing the shooting mode and I dont see any settings to change it anywhere.
Please can someone guide me on how to properly setup the settings for manual and auto ISO?
thank you so much!

How much experience do you have with general photography, specifically DSLRs? I strongly suggest that you download a PDF copy of the User Guide.

[EDIT]. I also recommend that you go through the entire menu system and reset everything that you find that has the option to perform a reset. When you buy a used camera, you want to begin with the settings in a known state.

Look at the button on the top of the camera to the left of the hotshoe. It is labelled MODE, press that and then turn the dial next to the shutter button on the right of the body. You’ll see the mode change through the available modes.
If you can’t see M for manual there is a custom setting in the camera to restrict any of the modes and you would need to reset the custom settings or find that specific one.
