Hi guys,
Hoping this is the right place for this question.
I've recently got an R6 mark II and I'm looking for an external monitor. I've read that I can't use my cameras flip out lcd screen whilst using most external monitors, is that true? I know there's certain limitations with the mini HDMI.
I'm slowly building a rig for my videography so any advice would be ace https://tutuapp.uno/ !
Thank you 🙂

That is indeed correct, if you plug something in to the HDMI then the signal to the LCD goes off. You can configure the camera to give a clean HDMI output, so that the LCD stays on and is usable, plus a device connected to the HDMI gets a clean signal, but then you cannot record to cards in the camera. This second method is designed to be used with monitors that record external to the camera.
