How many files are transferred, or how long does it take, before the wireless transfer stops?

Are attempting to connect the PC directly to the camera, or are you using a wireless hotspot?

First and foremost, the built-in Wi-Fi does not mean the camera is fully networkable.  Wireless file transfers tend to be slow, especially when you a transferring multiple files at once.

Most users use a USB cable or a card reader connected to a PC to quickly transfer multiple files.

I went from a card reader to a USB cable but, by chance, found that my old laptop had a card slot on the side. I used it exclusively then. New laptop has the card slot, too.

Is the camera powering down during the transfer?
