EOS 6D Mark II shutter issue

I purchased a MarkII 6D in January and just recently took pictures at an equestrian event. The shutter button stopped working pretty quickly. I turned off the camera and then removed and reinserted the battery. The camera did not have any issues for the next 2 hours. To me it seems like it may be the battery contacts, I am using the recommended LP-E6N battery. Anyone having the same problem?

We need more information regarding the situation.

Which shooting mode were you using?
Which lens?
Did you see any error messages? If so, what were they?
Were you using any other accessories (flash, filters, etc)?

I was using my 70-200 on AF. Noerror messages or accessories. Happened pretty fast. First time doing field shooting as weather has been chilly.

A used 6D Mk II? If so, the very first thing you should do it make sure it is reset to factory default settings. It is difficult to know what a previous owner may have set. A new memory card or at least a deep format of the one that came in it.

The battery and charger are known to be good and fully working?

It was a new camera. Fully charged new battery and  new csrd.

Your only recourse then is to call Canon 1 (800) 652-2666. Otherwise you will never know for sure or trust it . I am assuming you did buy it from an authorized Canon USA retailer?
