Does anyone know if the new EOS Remote app will work with the wireless transmitter and the 5DM2. I have just ordered the WFT E4 II.

rob47uk,
The EOS Remote App, slated to be available December 2012, supports the EOS 6D with it's built in WiFi. No other cameras are listed for compatibility at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

Pretty sure it won't since it's designed to work for the EOS 6D. However you can use the web browser built-in to the iPad and iPhone if you also have the wireless file transmitter for your camera. The WFT in HTTP mode lets you remote control the camera using an EOS utility like interface in the web browser. I did this with an EOS-1D Mark IV earlier

If you just want to send picutres to the iPhone / iPad from the camera then it's also possible you can use the WFT in ftp mode and run a simple ftp server on the iOS device.
