Hi

I have just purchased a secondhand Canon EOS 1100D, total novice with such a camera & am wondering if anyone can suggest what is going on with these images please.

the camera is 10years old with 'hardly any use' does it need a clean etc...?

thanks & kind regards in advance Tracy

Welcome to the forums!

The used camera might need a shutter replacement.

hi Waddizzle

Cleaning won't help. You can't clean the shutter. It has very delicate curtains.

thanks for your reply... appreciated🤗

Greetings,

I agree with the guys.  Cleaning is not going to help.  This is a "return to seller" situation.  If you are going to buy used, do so from a reputable source.  KEH, Lens Rentals, Adorama, B&H, etc..  these sellers provide a warranty with your purchase.
