Canon EOS 1D Mark II WFT-E8B cannot detect WiFi networks

Hello, I have a Canon EOS 1D Mark II with a WFT-E8B and i want to upload photos directly from the camera to an ftp folder. My camera successfully  detects the WFT-E8B wireless transmitter. I can see the Wireless Mac Address in the Function Settings.
The problem is that when I use the connection wizard in the connection settings, I chose FTP trans and when i pick Wireless Lan Type and press ok, the camera hangs on "Busy... Please Wait" screen, even though i am standing next right below the access point.
The FTP trans connection via Wired connection is working properly.

My camera is using Firmware ver 1.1.8

Welcome to the forum.
1. You should edit your post and delete camera S/N.
2. Go to the camera support s, register your product and contact Canon for support.

Have you tried manually inputting the network name and password rather than using the connection wizard?
