Will Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 VC Di SP USD A011 Canon EF lens work on a Rebel T7?

Finding mixed responses on whether or not this will work on the T7.  Vendor says this is the A011 model, whatever that means.  Maybe that's why there are opposing answers?

Yup. This is the same model as mine, and it works fine on my T6S.

It probably will.  A011 is the lens variant. Let me do some poking around and try to confirm for you.

Yes but make sure its for the Canon EF Mount not any other lens mount such as Nikon F, Pentax K/ PK, Sony/ Minolta A Mount. Its not worth adapting another companies' lenses to a different mount. So make sure its for Canon EF Mount not any other mount.

If it's an EF mount, why would it not work? Who is saying it won't?

For instance, the Best Buy webpage.  Don't ask me why.  

Some said the A22 would work but not the A11.  Don't ask me why.

The 011 model is the earlier of two iterations, as far as I can ascertain.  While a later model will have some improvements, the unit you are considering should work fine with you T7.

I purchased the lens and everything, including the autofocus, works beautifully.  But it's a much bigger lens than I expected 🙂
