EOS Rebel T6 Extender and Lens Recommendations

New to photography. I have a rebel t6 eos. I’ve recently moved to some acreage and have hawks that I want to photograph. The 300mm lens works good but images are still not what I want. Thinking of getting an extender or a bigger lens. Not sure what would be best. What extender fits my camera? Or what would be a good upgrade lens. Thanks in advance for any help

While you can get a 1.4x extender that will make your 300mm into a 420mm lens, but the best option is one of the 150-600 mm lenses. I have the tampon, but the sigma is good, too.

Thank you for your response. I will look at those two. And they will fit on my camera?

It will work fine, just make sure to get the Canon EF mount.

Not the best shot, but here is one from my Tamron:

This is the correct answer. The Tamron G2 is the better lens but it is a tad bit more expensive than the Sigma C lens.

I have the Sigma 150-600mm. Does a fine job. I'm happy with it and my wife is happy with it...just to keep me quiet about buying it.😇
