prixma mg2525 printing small in top left corner

Just got this printer second hand and when i tried to print a normal document it printed the page out super small in the top left corner. ive tried everything i can think of and what the printer manual says to do but it still isnt printing normal.

printing off of a mac book air running on monterey version 12.3.1. using google docs, tried on chrome and then on safari, tried downloading as pdf then printing. tried cleaning the printer heads many times.

Based off the nozzle check, the ink used for printing text is not printing correctly. Since the nozzle cleanings did not resolve the issue, the printer would require service.

The previous owner said the printer used to work, is there anything else i can try?? i cant afford to buy anything, i already got this one second hand.

Hi NateCarr,

Because black is not printing, it is recommended that the black ink cartridge is replaced with a new genuine Canon ink cartridge.

Your PIXMA MG2525 is compatible with the PG-243, PG-245 and PG-245XL black ink cartridges.  They are available for purchase here:
