TS9520 defaults to rear paper tray

I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and dumped my old Brother printer, but I'm beginning to wonder if that was a wise decision. I now have the Canon TS9520 but it keeps defaulting to rear paper tray. It reverts even if I tell the computer to default to the to the cassette. The only way I have found to use the cassette is to tell Windows 11 to always go to print preview and then select the cassette during print preview. I am using Windows 11, with MS Visio 10 and find this really strange. It doesn't happen with my HP4650 and it didn't happen with the Brother printer. I suspect an issue with the driver and Windows 11, but I have no way to test that theory. Any Ideas?

Hi Bobclark1,

Please try setting the rear feed to 4" x 6", so when you print from your computer on letter sized paper, the printer will default to the cassette.

To do this, please follow these steps:

1.  Turn you PIXMA TS9520 on.

2.  Tap the gear icon at the bottom of your printer's display.  i_setup.jpg

3.  Tap Feed settings.  feed.jpg

4.  Tap Rear tray paper settings.

5.  Tap the Change button.

6.  Select KG/4"x6"(10x15) from the list.

7. Choose Pro Platinum, or any type of paper.

8.  Tap Yes.

9.  Tap the Home icon in the upper left corner.

Once set, please attempt to print.
