Pixma MG3620 print quality issue

Mysterygal

Following a paper jam, my print quality deteriorated significantly.  I found a post that recommended I clean the Encoder strip, which I attempted, however I believe I may have cleaned the rail in error.  My test pages are blurred, disjointed and a total mess.  Any suggestions on next steps?  Thanks.

Hi,

You will want to make sure you clean the clear plastic strip in the printer. If you cleaned the rail and not the strip, please try to clean the strip again.

If you have done that and the nozzle cleanings but the issues remains then the printer has experienced an internal hardware issue and would need to be replaced.

You would qualify for the Canon Upgrade Program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service, or for some reason are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This option allows you a one-time opportunity to purchase a replacement product, discounted from the list price.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please the Canon Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
