I had a paper jam in my Pixma MX922 that showed an error code 1311. I cleared the jam and the paper came out completely intact - no small pieces left. There are NO other papers inside the printer. Yet, the error code will not clear so I cannot use the printer for anything - no printing, copying or scanning. I have tried turning it off and unplugging it, reinstalling drivers, etc. Nothing works. How can I reset the printer to delete the code?

Hi,
When you unplug the power the cord, press the power button 5 times. After 60 seconds plug the power cord back in and power on the printer.
If the error comes back, the printer has experienced a hardware malfunction and would require service.
If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

I ran into this same error code 1311, but in my case I never had jammed paper, so nothing to remove. I did not have any 4x6 or 5x7 paper loaded in the upper tray, so couldn't be from there.
I found the post below, where the user pushed thicker stock paper through the back until able to pull it out the front. This worked for me, and I discovered that it pulled out a thin sliver of a post-it note, which I have never printed on so all I can think it that it snuck into the paper tray when reloading one time and got stuck inside. Luckily pulling three sheets of paper stock through the front worked to pull it out for me and then when I plugged in and started the printer it is working like normal. Including the post link with photo in event anyone else is frustrated like I was and this works for them.... https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Desktop-Inkjet-Printers/Canon-Pixma-MX922-paper-jam-in-upper-cass...
