MAXIFY GX3020 Photo and border size issue from IOS Canon Print App

Wondering if others are having this issue #GX3020 printer with IOS app.  Just purchased it brand new and when I try to print photos, it does not properly size them and there is more than a border of space from the top and bottom of the print rendering this printer useless for me.  I switched from my Epson Ecotank given i was having issues with the printer and am not impressed. Can't do borderless this should be printed on the box and descriptions as well.  Might have to return it to costco.  There is also no option to resize the photo other than crop and doing this for hundreds of photos does not make sense.
