Canon IP8750 colour correction

Hi guys, at my absolute wits end and need urgent help!
Canon IP8750, printing a very standard illustration, similar to my normal use.

The printer has had a full ink change this morning as I believed this to be the issue…. However, not resolved the problem I am having.

The darker graphics is almost identical and the true representation of my on screen file, so I know my file is okay. However, since that one initial print… the printer is throwing out a very weakened version, bleak, not sharp and distorted coloured, heightening the vibrance a lot!!

I’ve tried every setting in the menu, “high” quality, photo, photo paper, photo on plain paper…. Swapped the paper to my ordinary plain card medium…. And still it’s producing the same results.

I’ve printed direct from my photos and that instead produces a darkened version. I need something in between, exactly like that first print!!!

the other issue I have, from my Mac I can insert custom print dimensions, from my iPad the canon menu just gives me their presets and doesn’t include an option to amend or create my own sizes. Can anybody assist with this too?

Many thanks!

1. verify that you have the correct driver installed on your Mac: PIXMA iP8750 - Support - Download drivers, software and manuals - Canon Europe (canon-europe.com)

2. run a nozzle check and verify that all is correct: Canon : PIXMA Manuals : iP8700 series : Use Your Computer to Print a Nozzle Check Pattern

3. the iPad print app is a limited capability application. I have not seen the custom print option for either of my two canon printers (not the iP8700 series).
