Computer Says to Install EOS Utility 2 When I Connect My EOS 70D

I installed EOS Utility 3.16.0 for Windows 11 however, when I try to connect my EOS 70D to my computer, either via usb or wifi, a message appears saying "Application not installed. Please install EOS Utility 2." In all the tutorial videos I've watched, EOS Utility 2 appears in the list of software to be installed, however this was not the case for me. Why might this be? Additionally, where would I be able to download EOS Utility 2? Long story short, I would like to view my photos on my monitor immediately after taking them. If you have any recommendations or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Then download and install EOSU 3.13.20.

Greetings,

In order to assist you, we need to know what OS (version and build) is your "computer" is running?

A search of downloads for the EOS 70D shows the following:

EOS Utility for windows: v3.15.20

EOS Utilty for MAC v3.16.0

You post is not clear.  It says you installed v3.16 for windows? Then you ask where you can get the installation file from.   Was the file you installed originally from Canon's website?

Downloads for the EOS 70D are available here:

Canon Support for EOS 70D | Canon U.S.A., Inc.

I downloaded v3.15.20 originally, but when I tried to run it, it said there was an update and updated to 3.16.0 I am running on windows 11 home

I downloaded off the canon website

EOSU 3.15.X should install EOSU3 and EOSU2.

Both V2 and V3 can exist together. Updating to a later EOSU3 shouldn't delete V2.

Check in the Canon Utilities folder; you should see EOSU2. Start EOSU2 directly rather starting the top-level EOSU app.

If you look at my original post, EOS Utility 2 was never downloaded. It wasn't on the list of software. How can I download EOSU2?

Then download and install EOSU 3.13.20.

How? Where do I find this download?

Same place you found the other downloads. Just keep scrolling down.
