TESTING A CANON LP-6E BATTERY AND LC-6E CHARGER

Wondering if it's possible to test the battery and charger with a voltmeter and where to put the prongs in each case. Help. ALSO: is the following a possible scenario: charging a battery that is dead but the charging sequence and light display happens just as if it were good? That's what I'm facing but am wondering if checking for voltage is as simple as putting the prongs on the two silver contact areas (which are labeled "T" & "C". Menawhile the + & - terminals are very thin. I did ppins in there and still got zero voltage from a very dependable meter. THANKS!

The + and - terminals is where you want to put your voltmeter leads to measure the battery voltage. If you look inside the battery compartment of the camera, you will see those are the terminals used by the camera for power.
