Most of the time my R5 uses the electronic shutter for focus bracketing but sometimes it uses the mechanical shutter (the noise is unmistakable). Can anyone tell me the conditions under which the mechanical shutter is used? Thanks.Bill

When in FV mode on my R5, I can select Av using the quick control dial but when I turn the main dial the exposure compensation changes, not the aperture. Tv and ISO work as they should. How can I fix this? Thanks.

The answer appears to be which lens you are using. With my EF 100mm f2.8 macro (the original, not the L version with IS) focus bracketing uses the electronic first curtain shutter. With my RF 24-240mm focus bracketing uses the electronic shutter.
