Wired Network Installation Failure PIXMA MX870

sqmronnyc
Apprentice

Setting up new ethernet cable wired network.

Installation program locates printer successfully, then while 'registering the printer driver' installation stops;  with the message:  "error occured while files being downloaded: 0200 0000"   Same failure with multiple attempts.

Am setting up a new network with a new computer, Windows 8.1, ASUS RT-AC68U Router, connecting the printer with ethernet cable to a gigabit switch.

This printer has successfully installed with same installation disc on a prior Windows 8.1  system, direct USB connection (no network).

Any suggestions to point me in the direction of a successful installation?
