TR8520 Wireless Printer randomly not connected to Macbook

Hi,

I'm having a issues with my TR8520 printer. Randomly it will not wirelessly print from my Macbook. I'll get a message stating that the printer is not connected. I think it might be that the router is too far from the printer. Generally how close should they be? I had to temporarily move my router and now it's about 25-30 feet  and 2 rooms away.

Thanks for the help.

Chris

Greetings,

You are asking questions that are dependant on your environment and hardware.

Factors that can influence this:

Brand and model of wireless router

Placement

Obstructions (including the building materials) of your home or office, etc.

25ft is not far, but if the router is inexpensive and being "asked" to broadcast through (metal, glass, brick/plaster, or around heating ducts, etc) range can be affected.

Start by temporarily moving the printer to the same location as the router.  See if this helps. (Remains connected consistently)

If it doesn't then there is another issue we can try to help you address.
