PIXMA TS6300 Series: power outage

Canon, you helped me in March 2020 on my PIXMA MG6320.  Have a new printer.  Thunderstorm.  Electricity went out.  Printer will not work.  I have done several things, but tonight I went back to Michael/Canon's instructions in March of what to do.  I uninstalled the printer and the driver.  I reinstalled my printer from the website.  I downloaded the Driver from Canon website.  (Ver 1.01 eff 08/04/20)  Printer is connected to the internet, so it says, but NADA.

Should I start all over again by uninstalling the printer and the printer driver?

Thank you.....Jean O

Hi jeano19.

If the printer isn't powering on properly following a power outage:

  1. Disconnect the power cord.
  2. Press and hold the ON button for ~ 5 seconds. Do this five times.
  3. Plug the printer back in and try powering it back on.  If the printer still does not power on properly, it will need to be replaced.

If the printer is powering on but not communicating over the network:

  1. Power off the printer and the router.
  2. Wait 12 seconds.
  3. Power on only the router.
  4. Wait for the router to come completely online.
  5. Power on the printer.
  6. (if needed) perform the wireless setup again for the printer.
