MX922: WiFi Connectivity Fails if USB is Connected

jmdyas

My Desktop PC connects to my MX922 via USB Cable, which works.

All other devices(laptops, phones, tablets) are unable to connect to it via WiFi.

If I unplug the USB cable, then all other devices CAN connected via WiFi.

Is the Canon Pixima MX922 unable to handle connects via USB and WiFi simultaneously?

Note: The MX922 and other devices are connected via the same Access Point / SSID and on the same Subnet.

Greetings,

You aren't the first and won't be the last to do this.

What I recommend.  Pick one interface and stick with it.  Attempting to use multiple interfaces results in additional management and more times than not an unreliable device.

Hi jmdyas,

You can use the PIXMA MX922 via USB with your computer and wirelessly with other devices.

First, I recommend updating the firmware:

 1.  Turn your PIXMA MX922 on.

 2.  Press the MENU button.

 3.  Press the down arrow button to highlight Setup and press OK.

 4.  Use the left arrow button to select Device settings and press OK.

 5.  Use the down arrow button to select Firmware update and press OK.

 6.  Select Install update and press OK.

 7.  If Do you want to update appears, select Yes and press OK.

 8.  Press OK to start the update.
