Google Cloud Print & MF743Cdw - Printer Won't Register

I am having one hell of a time getting the computer to register with Google Cloud Print.  As you see below,

1. Chrome has identified the printer on the home network

2. Clicking the Register button will wake the printer and obtain the necessary permissions and display the appropriate dialogs on the printer display.  The RemoteUI confirms the desire to register the printer.

3. The browser displays a new screen confirming that it is trying to obtain the necessary information from the printer

4. The result is always the same.  The amount of time varies - regardless of browser, machine or OS type used:

Can someone please help me understand what I am doing wrong here?  The printer's IP address is self assigned, but showing up in my router's device table and I can printer to it from other devices on the same wireless network.  So the fact that this isn't in the same 192.168.1.x IP range shouldn't be the issue, should it?

Greetings,

Use these instructions:

The 169 address is not an IP and yes the the printers IP needs to be an address in your 192.168.1.x LAN segment whether it is DHCP or statically assigned IP.
