Canon Pixma MG3022 keeps disconnecting from network

As of yesterday, my printer seems to disconnect from the network for every print job.  I am at a loss.  I print my notes for school, and it is taking way too long.  I realize I can simply use a USB cable, but I would like to fix this issue for the future.  When I attempted to go to the printer site I get the following:

This site can’t be reached

e74f70000000.local.’s server IP address could not be found.

Does anyone know how I can fix this issue and prevent it from happening again?

Thank you,

Ryan

I am on a macbook pro mid 2012 running sierra (10.13.2)

Ryan,

Give the printer a static IP address.  Use its MAC address and assign it an IP on your wireless router.  This way its IP won't change, then you and other devices on the network (even those that come and go) will always be able to find it.

You can use this thread as a guide.  The same principal applies.
