Canon MX492 Printer Connected but won't Print

We recently moved and in trying to reconnect our printer in our new home, it says the printer is connected, has 100% signal, etc. but neither our phones nor our computers recognize the printer as being online. We urgently need to print several documents and would love some help.

Hello Ally1181,

If you are unable to print after connecting to a new wireless network, you can try uninstalling and resinstalling the Canon print Inkjet selphy app from your phone or tablet. Once the app has been reinstalled, you can click the + in the app so the phone can search for the printer on your wireless network. If the app is unable to find the printer, you can try turning your phone's wifi off and on and then having the app search for the printer again.

If the phone is still unable to locate the printer, you can try printing a network page using the steps provided in the link HERE. If the SSID does not match the network that your phone is connected to, you can go into your phone's wifi settings and switch the network the phone is on and then you can try searching for the printer again. If the phone is still unable to find the printer, the last step I could suggest would be to unplug your router from the power for 5 seconds and once the network is back up, you can try reconnecting to the printer.

If those steps did not resolve the issue, I would need some additional information to assist further. If you could reply to this message with the information below, we can provide more troubleshooting steps.

1. What is the printer's SSID, and IPV4 address?

2. What version of the Mac or Windows operating system are you using on your computers?
