Hi murposlo,

When you change an modem or router, the netowrk information must be update.  To do this, please follow these steps:

 1.  Click Start and select All programs (or Programs), Canon IJ Network Utilities, Canon IJ Network Tool, and then Canon IJ Network Tool.

 2.  Select the PIXMA MG5220 in Printers.

 3.  Select Configuration from the Settings menu.

 4.  Click on the Wireless LAN tab.

 5.  Next to SSID, click the Search button.

 6.  In the new window that appears, select your access point an click Set.  If your access point does not appear in the list, click the Update button.

 7.  Select your encryption method from the drop down box and click the Configuration button.

 8.  If you are using WEP, enter your WEP Key and click OK.  If you are using WPA, click the Change Settings button, enter your passphrase, click Next and click Finish.

You should be able to use your PIXMA MG5220 wirelessly now.

Re: Cannon MG5220 wireless wont work now that I installed a new modem.

Patrick,

I have this problem , have a MG5220, Win 7, all had been working for a couple years or so...now "printer Offline"

Step 1 of your solution says go to certain Canon utilities which are not on my computer and did not come on my CD Rom....can I download these and if so where are they?

Thanks,

Re: Cannon MG5220 wireless wont work now that I installed a new modem.

no help. it falls apart at 3. and 4. My old cd rom does not have a file named WIN....and also apparently newer drivers were installed later because I have tried this reinstall 2 or 3 times and each time it stops because newer drivers have been downloaded
