Can anyone please let me know if it is possible to entre f stop value to get a distance for proper exposure for speedlite 600EX-RT if it is set in manual mode without using light meter. Power of the flash is selected for the exposure in manual mode. also how to confirm that the power selected is proper for the exposure.

Hi Sanjay. I'm not sure if this answers your question, but if you have flash installed on camera the distance scale will change as you change f/stop on camera.

Since the distance scale shows the range of acceptable distances for flash it means you will get correct flash exposure if you are in that range.

Thanks John. One part of question is answered. For other part about power of in maual mode how can we select correct level of output of power for the setting of shutter speed, apartue value and ISO.

Hi Sanjay. You would set the camera settings you want. Then, you would rotate dial to select flash power, assuming you wanted to reduce it from full, and watch the distance scale. As long as the subject is within the indicated distance range power is adequate.
