I recently upgraded from my 580 Ex II's to the new 600 ex-II flashes. My question is when using the flash in Manual Mode, can I fire more than one shot at a time? In Ettl Mode I am able to fire 4 shots before images go black - while the flash recycles.
But in Manual Mode it seems I am only able to fire one shot at a time - so nothing moving that would require high-speed synch like a couple walking down the aisle or during their first dance. I would rather keep it in Manual mode but I can't afford to miss these important shots.
Am I just missing something with the settings?
I appreciate any insight, thanks!

Does it depend on the power level?

No, as fully powered it still only flashes once then I have to wait for it to recharge. Where if I switch to ETTL it fires continuously.

Are you relying on the flash's own batteries, or do you have an external battery pack attached? If the former, maybe an external battery pack would help. If the latter, maybe the battery pack is somehow fooling the flash into thinking that it's unready to continue.
