a just got an sx50 camera and am having trouble installing the software
when I start the install - it promts for silverlight which installs - the installer keeps going and then draws a large X saying unknown error
is there any way to get a more detailed error message? Is there any way to get somekind of log?
I did validate the silverlight install by going to ms silverlight sight- which told me I was behind the times updated to the current version (made no difference in the install)
done one at at time
imagebrowerex fails to install as does camerawindow, the manual and the photo sitch program do install

i gave canon a call and they had a seggestion that saved the day
the problem was not solved by reinstalling sliverlight, they suggested it was something to do with my user profile
delete silverlight and imagebroserex
create a new user
log in as the new user
install imagebrowser (this installed silverlight)
log out of the new user and back in as me
delete the new user
- something in my user profile was preventing the install
