What version of DPP and what camera model?

Perhaps there is a compatibility conflict.

When that dialog box first opens, does it show the directory for the processing file and output file near the top of the dialog box?  Any chance that the output file directory doesn't exist or is invalid?

I agree with John with those question marks appearing on the images that it could be a compatibility conflict between your camera and the version of DPP.

What version of DPP are you using?  Click on help in the menu bar and then about and it will provide the version, 4.10.20.1 is the most recent version and you can also check for and update under the help command.
