RAW Video Tool

BittmooreCoop

I took some video last night with my T6.

DPP 4 (newsest version 4.15.0) does not seem to be able to do anything with it.

When I tried using the RAW Video Tool on the .MOV file it says it needs a RAW file. I have not even watched it yet so no editing done.

If the .MOV file is not RAW then how do I work with it? What kind of file is it the RAW Video Tool is looking for?

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

A T6 would not capture video in RAW.  Very few pieces of equipment do (Canon's higher-end DSLRs and cinema cameras offer that).

What computer are you using to work with your video files?  If on a Mac, at least iMovie should be able to work with the footage.  Outside of that, you have Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve to name a few.  The latter two are also available on Windows.

Welcome to the forum.

As discussed in the DPP manual you cannot edit .MOV or >MP$ movies in DPP. You can play them and do still screen captures.

A free version of DaVinci resolve is available for Windows and macOS systems. It is a very powerful product.
