Help with editing stills

EkoGeko

Hi all,

I'm having a weird situation with editing stills shot with the 70d in video mode.

When I'm previewing the photos in Bridge or in Lightroom, the photos are automatically cropped because their were shot in video mode (I can see the photos being cropped while there're loading, so I can see that the full photo exist).

I also tried to open the photos in Photoshop directly from the folder, but there are still cropped.

How can I over come this issue and open the full photo?

Thanks a lot!

Gilad

Here is the solution for anyone having the same issue:

Lightroom automatically changes the aspect ration to "As shot" and that's why it changes the aspect to the same one as the video (16:9).

To change that, you need to select all the cropped photos in the Library screen, and use the "Quick develop" bar on the right, and under "Saved preset" you will find the "Crop ratio" selection list (if you can't see it click on the black error), and than select "Original".

Unfortunately this solution only works with photos shot in RAW, and not JPG.
