EOS Utility/White Balance

Hello Photographers,

I pretty much do studio photography/product.

I need know how to pick from a grey/white board the right WB using the EOS Utility software from Canon.

There is any expert can explain in details or even better re-direct me on a detailed video please.

Many Thanks!

It would be much appreciated.

Re: EOS Utility/White Balance

Looks like you click the eyedropper and select the card on your preview:

But it would be better to shoot raw, take an image of your greycard and fix it in post.

That's not how it works.  White Balance is implemented either in the camera, or in post processing, not by the image file transfer utility.  What is shown above allows you to set a custom WB setting in the camera, not in the EOS Utility.

You can take a photo of a grey card, and then tell the camera to use that image as a WB reference.  Or,  you can sample the photo in post-processing, in a way similar to as shown above, in Canon's DPP software.
