EOS Utility 2 Not Working with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

My utility software shows my pictures and then, after I start selecting photos to download,  gives me the spinning wheel and eventually disconnects. I've downloaded the March 30th update from Canon. Is there something else I need to update? I've tried unplugging my other usb devices.
