Overcast evening, field with no lights.  Looked like an opportunity to learn something.

Excellent images, indeed.   THis is not a genre with which I engage, but I am very happy to applaud those who can pull it off!

cheers: Trevor

cheers, TREVOR

The mark of good photographer is less what they hold in their hand, it's more what they hold in their head;
"All the variety, all the charm, all the beauty of life is made up of light and shadow", Leo Tolstoy;
"Skill in photography is acquired by practice and not by purchase" Percy W. Harris

Thanks, Trevor.  I was driving by, and I often see a game in progress: soccer, field hockey, or lacrosse.

I did not mention that I typically dial in up to -1 AEC under [low light] these scenarios.  If I lose details in the shadows to noise, so what.  I am only interested in capturing what "highlights" there are with as little noise as possible.

A few from last Friday night, not perfect lighting but not as dark as a lot of high school fields.  Shot with Canon 1DX 2 and 300 F2.8.  I really like those track photos Wadizzle!
