I took this photo of a great grey owl in flight with an EOS R6 Mk II fitted with EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens at the Hawk Conservancy Trust in Andover, UK. Taken late in the day when light levels were quite low it needed ISO 4000 to allow me to use my chosen 1/2000th shutter speed in Tv mode. These pictures are all taken from the same sequence.

Excellent photos with the sequence of the wing movements! My complements for great photos and taking advantage of the scene.

Wow! @p4pictures these quite literally gave me chills. What a wonderful sequence of images. Technically speaking your focus was spot on and I would never guess ISO 4000.

These are a few from a sequence that is 10 frames long and only one shot is not fully sharp. I used high speed + drive mode but 1st curtain electronic shutter mode for 12fps. The right settings on the EOS R6 Mark II means it doesn't have any trouble with this kind of shot. At the end of the sequence was that the owl was too close and I didn't zoom out on the lens fast enough 😀
