While hiking at Ulistac Natural Area, I took this photo of a black phoebe perched on a branch.  The black phoebe has predominantly black plumage, with a white belly and undertail coverts.  It is a passerine bird in the tyrant-flycatcher family.  It breeds from southwest Oregon and California south through Central and South America.  It's throughout most of its range year-round and migrates less than other birds in its genus.  It is mainly insectivorous and waits on a perch before sallying out and catching its prey in the air.

Excellent!  Especially with a black bird with black yes on a very dark background.  Very impressive work.  Obviously we fon't have them on the east coast, just ther Eastern Phoebe various other flycatchers.
