A perfect afternoon for baseball

Nice crisp and clear weather after storms caused game cancellations early in the week made for a nice afternoon of HS baseball.  Shot with Canon 1DX III and EF 400 f2.8.

Thanks for sharing and the specs used. Nice photos. One grandson will be playing in district games starting tomorrow. Have three grandsons in baseball, one plays for the Gwinnett Stripers.  I hope I have enough film.

Looking forward to seeing some photos tintype.  With daylight, you can keep your shutter speed high. 

With the COVID delayed girls' soccer season, I have been shooting games at 1/1600 with f2.8 glass to give the camera a little headroom on auto ISO selection, anything slower and it would over-expose some shots at ISO 100.
