Trying to find scanner for MacBook Air running Monterey 12.5.1

I have a new MacBook Air running Monterey 12.5.1 and ordered an Epson ES-50 and neither Epson nor Mac could get the MacBook to recognize it with a USB adapter.  I sent it back and would like a simple Canon flatbed. Can anyone recommend models that would be compatible?
