Hi RWB,

Please try these steps:

1.  On your Mac, right click your desktop and create a new folder called "Scans".  If you are unsure how to perform this, please follow the steps provide on Apple's Support page:

support.apple.com - Create a folder.

2.  Open the IJ Scan Utility Lite.

3.  Click the Settings button in the lower right.

MacOS: Ventura 13.7.6   Error Message: "You do not have the required privileges to access the specified folder.  Code:9,244,3"  I checked the manual and it said to goto System Settings > Privacy and Security > Full Disk Access.  I authorized Canon IJ Scan Utility Lite and jp.co.canon and it did not change the error condition.

I have discovered by trial and error that the Scans folder does not have to be on the desktop, which can quickly become cluttered.  I created one in my Downloads of;der and that works as well.

Thanks again
