Hello everybody,
I recently bought a Canon XA45, after 7 years using a "glourious" XA20.
Everything seems to be ok with my new camera, but I have a question.
As far as I understand, if I use as INPUT-1 an external microphone connected to the XRL input I'll not be able to use as INPUT-2 the built-in microphone of the camera or an external microphone connected to the minijack socket. Is there anybody who can confirm that?
I was able to do that with canon XA20 and it suited my way of working pretty well.
If my hypothesis will be confirmed, I think that the only option that I have is to buy a shut gun microphone with an XLR connection.
It would be great to re-introduce this option with a new firmware, but I am not such a technician to understand if it is possible.
Thanks

The solution, really simple, is to modify the audio format. From 2CH (AAC 16bit 2CH) to 4CH (LPCM 16bit 4CH).
