I have a 44-inch-wide ImagePROGRAF PRO-4000. Most of the paper rolls in this size offered by Canon are 42 inches, not 44. Why does Canon short the two inches on most of the papers and canvases they offer? I can't understand why they sell a 44-inch-wide printer, but then, say, only offer artistic canvases at 42 inches.
I'd love to be able to say to my clients that I can print "up to 44 inches (times unlimited length)" and be done with it, but now I have to say, "I can print up to 44 inches for some papers, but 42 inches for others." It adds friction to the sale.
