I can't find this documented anywhere so I'm looking for help on the steps to take when using custom .am1x files loaded in the Media Configuration Tool, which also have an associated ICC profile loaded in the 'ICC Profile' tab of the Media Configuration Tool within 'Edit Custom Paper'. Logic would tell me since the ICC profile is now associated with that media type on the printer itself, you would then want to let the printer/driver handle the color management. However, I've seen instruction out that shows people still having the software they are using manage the color even after they've associated the ICC profile with their custom media type. Can anyone speak to this?
If you let the software manage the color and apply the profile, what is the point of associating the ICC file with the custom media type in the Media Configuration Tool?
Next question, if you are in fact supposed to let the printer/driver manage the color, am I correct in assuming that you would then want to select Canon Color Matching in the driver? Again, it would seem redundant to have to select the ICC profile here as well.
Printer: Pro-1100
OS: Mac Sequoia 15.4.1
Software: Qimage One
Thanks in advance!
