Error Code B507 and Ink Leak in Canon PRO-1000

Hi everyone,

I own a Canon PRO-1000, which I haven’t used in about 3–4 months. Today, when I turned it on, I received the following message: "Error Code B507." I followed the troubleshooting steps shown on the display screen, but they didn’t resolve the issue.

After some investigation, I removed all the cartridges and discovered that the PC (Photo Cyan) cartridge was leaking and completely empty. Using a flashlight, I could see that blue ink  throughout the bottom interior of the printer.

I’ve had this printer for around two years. It’s stationary and hasn’t been moved, and I installed all the ink cartridges brand new at the same time. Aside from the PC cartridge, the other cartridges still have ink remaining.

I bought the printer on Amazon with an ASURION 4-Year Protection Plan, and it’s still covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. I’m concerned that the ink may have caused internal damage.

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
