CANON pro 100 and silk 170gsm paper

I just CANNOT get the printer to print nicely on silk 170gsm paper, it comes out as a complete mess 😕

Please can someone tell me what settings I would need to use on this type of paper, I am getting atrocious results.

You can see in the photo above an example with the silk paper on the left and glossy photo paper on the right.

Can someone please share a profile or tell me what I'm doing wrong here.

The paper I am using is "colour copy coated silk 170gsm" and is sold for use in inkjets, too.

Thanks a lot in advance !

George

Are you sure it is for inkjet printing?

If this isn't the paper, does the vendor provide profiles or a recommended media type? Third party vendors usually give recommended printer settings.

i saw a lot of people on amazon saying it works fine in inkjet printers but i think i have to accept that it certainly doesn't work in mine !

Many comments and answered questions on amazon said it was fine for inkjet. I've been in touch with them and they've refunded my money and promised to edit/remove these incorrect comments.

Need to go and buy some more paper now !
