Can't get images to print properly on Matte paper on imagePROGRAF Pro-4100

Hello Canon community,

I'm facing an issue with my Canon Pro 4100 printer. When printing on satin or luster photographic paper, everything works smoothly. However, I've noticed that when I switch to matte-coated paper, the black ink doesn't print as expected. It appears faded or inconsistent, affecting the overall print quality. I've checked all the paper settings on both the printer and computer, making sure that the right paper, drivers, color mode ... are selected. The issue appears to only affect photos; blocks of color and text print fine. I've tried adjusting every setting, but the problem persists only with matte-coated paper. Any suggestions on resolving this issue would be highly valued.

Thank you for your assistance!

Is it matte photo paper or some other kind of coated paper?

Are you using the correct ICC profile for the paper?

Have you run a nozzle check?

Looks like an ICC profile mistake here. I have done that. The printer is just using the wrong inks for matte paper.
