about my canon pixma MX472, from the 470 series won't connect to my PC

Please contact me thru email or phone [Removed personal information due to Community Guidelines], I need to connect my canon printer all in one and fax to my laptop and it won't work, doesn't recognize the printer because I took the printer icon and deleted it thinking that would make it better and now it won't connect because the icon of the computer is not there or being recognized.  I need help as I'm going a paper assignment and need the computer to work.  I have to hand in assignment tomorrow.  Please help!!!!
