Receive this error when trying to setup the printer on another persons mac.  It works fine on mine mac, had no issues.

Unable to connect to ‘Canon MF731C/733C._ipp._tcp.local.’ due to an error. Would you still like to create the printer?

MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 on both machines.  

IPv6 is and has been disabled.  Again, it works fine for some of us but not for others...

I was having this exact issue. From another forum, I read some say that this can be caused by being on the same network, but that the machines are on different SSIDs. 

For example, I was SCHOOL_WIFI but the printer was on STAFF_WIFI

Once I switched my machine to STAFF_WIFI things worked just fine.
