PIXMA TS9520a printer won't connect to ARRIS G34 router.

I just purchased a PIXMA TS9520a printer that will not connect to my ARRIS G34 router.  It seems okay until it identifies my router and then doesn't allow me to enter my password to connect.  I click on another router and it asks for a password but not when I click on mine.  HELP!!!  It's just about time to take it back and get a HP.
